Michael J. Gerson served in the administration of President George W. Bush as chief speechwriter, senior policy advisor, and as a member of the White House Iraq Group. He has held fellowships with the ONE Campaign, the Center for Public Justice, and at the Council on Foreign Relations. He is currently a syndicated columnist with The Washington Post, and is the author of two books, including City of Man: Religion and Politics in a New Era (2010, with Peter Wehner) and Heroic Conservatism (2009).
